I was sorely disappointed when it powered on and repetitively turned the platen line up line up line up in the same position with no operation of any other keys. The carriage manually moves smoothly in both directions when the power is off. I will re-donate this one. I have a 315 to take for repair already! Up for grabs for the price of shipping from 97401, Eugene OR USA.

I have many pen pals and correspond via handwritten and typed letters. I have a (painful) sitting disability and type while standing- UPDATE! I can also type on an ultraportable I set up on my bed. Typing and collecting machines with different typefaces keeps me busy and happily distracted from the difficulties in life-fountain pens, too, and I can write legibly, in cursive, while laying down. Join me on Type Pals and register for the monthly postcard exchanges. The “Cat Mews” is a quarterly publication of the philatelic topical group Cats On Stamps Study Unit (COSSU), for which I am a column contributor. My cats are Wiffle Wizard and Urushi (Rushi) Blizzard, aka the Blizzard Sisters.
