Description:
This was given to me by a Wild Wings Sportsmans Club member. IT NEEDED EVERTHING! One of the clutch allen screws was out, the belt was broke, a right side cord clip was not attached, didn't shift, missing both plates that mount behind where cover closes, the sticker was trash, fixed the line space assembly, replaced platen knobs, nicotine stained everything, the carriage handle was shot, missing back cover spring . . .on and on. This project only came to life with parts from a donor Coronet Electric 12. Update 6/1/2023 sold this unit to Erin.

I've fixed and sold many typewriters. There are three that I love to use for writing: 1930 Underwood No.5. 195 1 Remington Quiet-Riter, 1971 Hermes 3000.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Corona Seventy on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Corona Seventy By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
