197X Smith Corona Clipper Seventy Deluxe Serial # 6msh102894 197X Smith Corona Clipper Seventy Deluxe typewriter, Serial # 6msh102894 Todd Martin's 197X Smith Corona Clipper Seventy Deluxe typewriter. 2019-11-30 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Todd Martin: 197X Smith Corona Clipper Seventy Deluxe Serial # 6msh102894 This is an interesting typewriter that I wish I knew more about. Every time I've ever seen one online it's always made in Canada and I'm curious whether it's a Canada only model.

Other than that, there's not too much to say. It has the same body and internals as other Smith-Coronas of the late 60's and the 70's like the Super Sterling, Galaxie Deluxe, and so on. It types really well and is pretty snappy, but one thing I really don't like about this typewriter (which is a problem shared on my Galaxie and Super Sterling), is that the spacebar is really mushy and doesn't feel good at all. It's really too bad because everything else is so snappy.

Anyway, overall it's still a great typewriter!

I've always been a computer nerd, but after getting MS my symptoms resulted in me getting dizzy whenever I used a computer monitor. Eventually, I found my way to typewriters as a way for me to still be able to keep writing. Somewhere in that transition, I fell in love and now I spend my free time tracking down, repairing, and collecting typewriters.
