Description:
A pretty rough example of an Olympia SG3 in a local antique store. I looked all over for the serial number, but I couldn't find it, but it's either a late 1960's or a 1970's machine. Not too expensive and would probably restore OK, but I really don't need another standard. This one feels almost as heavy as my Imperial 58 - very heavy! I'll keep an eye on it and will see if the price drops any further.

Retired Air Traffic Controller. Got my first typewriter from Santa when I was about 8 years old and woke my parents up at 3am as I just had to try it out when I woke up! Have had an old Imperial 58 in the family for longer than I can remember. A computer geek, but I just love the mechanics of typewriters and have started to collect a few more to keep the Imperial company!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SG3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SG3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
