Description:
Serial number not found. It might have been on the faded peeling sticker on the bottom of the typewriter.
I found this little gem in Cádiz, Spain.
I don't know much about it, but I am told this is not a widely distributed model, which makes sense as I am logging the first of its kind into TWDB.
It has features that remind me of Olivetti (the swoop in the right carriage release button) and also Underwood-Olivetti (the ribbon color selector switch looks like the one on my Underwood 18).

I love to write and found that writing on a typewriter is the most enjoyable and distraction-free way of doing it. I started with an Alphasmart, then moved to a Royalite, then to an Olympia SM5. The Olympia kept me fully satisfied for a good seven years until I got the bit by the collecting bug. Now I am slowly amassing my own personal typewriter museum. Typewriters are like personal printing presses. My partner is an engineer who can fix and clean any typewriter, so we make a great team.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Antares Compact 16 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Antares Serial Number page and the Antares Compact 16 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
