Description:
A great implementation of the mighty Brother JP-1 chassis, the Brother Charger 11 has everything you need, nothing you don't. Excellent choice for anyone's first typewriter. This machine was somewhat grungy inside and out, but cleaned up nicely. I followed Munk's instructions on how to fill it with foam to improve the sound, which is a good project to undertake. Some of the slugs are slightly out-of-alignment -- the lowercase 'a' droops down, for example -- but I find that just adds eccentric charm.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Brother Charger 11 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Brother Serial Number page and the Brother Charger 11 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
