Description:
In nearly perfect condition - a rare treat from Goodwill Auction. I have another JP-7 that is well-used and the difference in how the keys punch down is astonishing. I already loved the feel with the other one - using what feels like a brand-new machine is so satisfying. So easy, so fun.

I have loved pressing buttons since I was little. I have memories of playing with the buttons on my grandma's Princess telephone, and watching her fingers with her long red-painted nails fly over her Selectric. I wanted to use it so badly! Also, my grandpa's adding machine. THAT we were only allowed to touch supervised. Now I'm collecting typewriters in all sorts of conditions and enjoying learning how to fix them. I haved fixed alignment issues, replaced a typeslug (ugh) and solved some other minor problems with the helpful feedback and videos of those that have come before me. My first was a 1964 Smith-Corona Classic 12 (so sharp looking), my rarest (I think?) is a 1972 Montgomery Ward Escort 55 in canary yellow. Mostly type letters. I try to practice my typing once a day.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Brother Accord 12 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Brother Serial Number page and the Brother Accord 12 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
