Acquired 2/24 in North Berkeley', CA. Spent a while looking for the serial no – it's hidden under the carriage which you can take off after removing two screws and disconnecting a strap.
Carrying case shows 7/78 manufacture. Machine shows 1978 manufacture year. So likely date is on or shortly after 7/78.
