My hobby of collecting antique industrial and commercial artifacts has gotten way out of hand. We started dealing in this stuff with a small shop, Brooksvale Artisans in Hamden CT. We now have 37,000 sq ft packed with all kinds of old stuff from offices and factories. Machinery, tools, equipment, furniture , and literature from various industries here in America. Metalworking, woodworking, printing, textile, shoes, jewelry, armements, and of course office machines. Connecticut industry played a pivotal role in the development and production of millions of typewriter. Underwood, Royal, Remington, Smith, Hammond and all the others sourced materials and parts from Connecticut mill and manufacturers. I will try to post as many of the 300 typewriters we currently have to add to this treasured archive.
