Description:
My mother in law gifted me this typewriter. It is the one my wife and her sister learned to type on. And now my kids are enjoying her company. It had a lot of dust in it, and I cleaned the segment and typeface. Some white out cruds removed. The carriage was held together with tape, because whoever serviced it forgot to tighten 2 screws on it. It was a real treat getting the adhesive off. The carrying case felt patches were destroyed and rubbing off on the ribbon cover. Replaced those with black felt, kept in place with double sided tape normally used for flooring. It is a really sturdy machine, the plastic is of a good quality (not brittle at all) and types really nice.

I fell into the typewriter rabbit hole due to nostalgia: I used to have a massive Olympia SG1 when I was a kid. It formed my typing habits, which is why I am called a "furious typer" by my coworkers. Came across the r/typewriters page on Reddit which rekindled my love for these wonderful machines. Lets just hope I don't start pushing screens off my desk when I reach the end of a line...
I also have a modest Youtube channel where I document the progress of my typewriter journey: https://www.youtube.com/@Slug_Life
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Adler Gabriele 10 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Adler Serial Number page and the Adler Gabriele 10 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
