Description:
10 CPI QWERTZ German Keyboard. This one was collected mainly for the bright orange "mod" shell. The action is loose and fast. The separation between the keys is wider than the Olivetti which seems to decrease typos and jams with my sloppy fingering. All the Contessa seem to have a flaw with the plastic posts breaking on the baseplate but other screw points do keep the shell in place. Appears to have the same innards as a Tippa. Case is a cover with a handle that snaps onto the base/machine so usage is quick.

Greetings! Typewriters have come and gone during my life but now I am focused on having the machine that fits the best. I sent off my Corona Standard in favor of a Olivetti Lettera 35 and a Triumph Contessa. I am a project manager by trade and activist by choice, I recently typed a letter to the Mayor to have a greater impact than email. Space requires I limit my collection to 2 machines.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Triumph Contessa De Luxe on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Triumph Serial Number page and the Triumph Contessa De Luxe By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
