Description:
When you check free ads in Ukraine, such SCM typewriter is one of the least expected to show up. But there it was, listed for ~$5, lacking case. So, I bought it just to find out what is it like.
It appeared to be somewhat like early Lyubava. Heavy and a bit rusty Lyubava with some new functions. It types just like it and sounds identically. Sadly, all the springs on mine Galaxie aren't tight any more, so most of the typebars stuck (even after cleaning and oiling).

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Galaxie Twelve on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Galaxie Twelve By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
