Description:
I found my first Olympia typewriter at Value Village for only $14.99+tax. The entire outer body and cover required a good cleaning with dish soap and water, looks almost new! I had to install a new ribbon and adjust the ribbon vibrator which was slightly bent out of place and causing it to delay dropping back into place between typing letters.
I still have to figure out how to adjust the uppercase carriage setting in order to correct the apparent fading of the upper half of the characters.
It types 12 characters per inch.
The very sleek design and easy to open case makes it my go to portable typewriter, it did not take long for the 70's sleek look to make an impression on me.
