It was donated to me by a friend on my wife, Melisa.
This is a model College from Olivetti, from around 1975.
Its mechanic derive from the Olivetti Lettera 25.
It’s in quite perfect conditions.
This typewriter has been donated by Melisa, a friend of my wife.
It has been designed by Mario Bellini. He designed also the Olivetti Divisumma 18, exposed at the Museum of Modern Art of New York.
He continued to collaborate with Olivetti throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
During this time he was involved in the design of many of the products of Olivetti.
This is a quite basic typewriter, without tabulator.
There is the Italian layout, with accented letters, as usual is missing the 1 and the 0, and you have to use the I and O instead.

Olivetti College (Lettera 25), in very good conditions.
It was donated to me by a friend on my wife, Melisa.

The best thing of this typewriter is the bag. There is a detachable shoulder strap with a central reinforcement for greater comfort during transport. The colour is red, and there is Olivetti written all over it. It is closed with Velcro. And two handles for normal carrying, with a tie to keep them together. There is a big attention to the details. On the bottom there are 4 metal feet, and an internal plate, so you can place it on the floor, and it stays upright. I think could be a high fashion item.
