1975 Facit 1840 Serial # 056 1035 1975 Facit 1840 typewriter, Serial # 056 1035 Kewin Sanfridsson's 1975 Facit 1840 typewriter. 2022-11-14 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Kewin Sanfridsson: 1975 Facit 1840 Serial # 056 1035 Here we got my favorie typewriter the Facit 1840 in the colour Warm Yellow (Orange). This is my second 1840 actually, just a few weeks after I uploaded my first one in Elegant Black (Dark Brown) to TWDB I found this typewriter on a Swedish auction site and I could not stay away as it is my favorite model by Facit and in the best colour of course! Since I bought my first one have learned that this machine came in not only two colours as I thought but three. A pure black version aswell but I have also seen this orange version with another orange ribbon hood instead. As I do not own a case for it I feel a bit unfortunate because it do look quite awesome but I still feel very luckey that I managed to collect two of these wonderful machines!

On this specific machine there are a few marks of use one which bugs me quite much a quite noticeble dent when you look at it close up. Otherwise it is not in bad condition at all just need to take a look on the ribbon spools as one of them will not let the ribbon quite through. So that is why I there is no typeface specimen.

Hi my name is Kewin and I'm a 23 years old from Sweden. I have a few hobbies like drawing and playing guitar but I do also like myself some project here and there which is where my interest in typewriters fits in. I have always collected things through my life but I did not expect typewriters to be my next big passion in collecting. I started collecting typewriters in the beginning of 2022 and so far I have 52 of them (3 of which is currently disassembled) . I find it really enjoyable to pickup a typewriter at a thrift store/second hand and starting to clean it up and get it to a working condition to the best of my ability and knowledge. (Excuse all the dog hairs in my pictures, I do actually try to remove the hair before taking the pictures. xD) Cheers!
