Description:
Made in Japan for Sears, though I don’t know which factory; maybe someone here can recognize whether it’s Brother or Nakajima. Good condition. The shell was once whiter and has yellowed with exposure. Has a new-style double-wall molded case. Types adequately and has a wide carriage. It has a different kind of auto paragraph indent, which works in conjunction with the carriage return only, not as a special kind of tab like the others I have seen. That double-arrow key on the right performs THREE functions: margin release, auto paragraph indent, and key unjamming.

While I find all of mankind's inventions interesting, I am most enchanted by the human-scale arts and devices, the ones that can be created (and repaired) in a home workshop or studio; the ones that can be understood by looking at them; the ones that do something useful or stir admiration. Typewriters work for me.
