Description:
This typewriter, despite being quite common especially here in Italy, I really like it a lot. I found this 1974 made in Italy - Ivrea Lettera 32 at a flea market, I cleaned it and also cleaned its case. It has an Italian QZERTY keyboard and a typeface characteristic of the Lettera 32, the "Baltea", recognizable by the number 025. Fun fact abaout the typeface name: "Dora Baltea" is the river that flows through Ivrea. The writing action is really smooth and crisp, typing on it is a real pleasure and the platen rubber is still in good condition, so its quite silent while typin. The suitcase still has a working zip (only has a small tear on the left side).
I gave it to my sister, it's still in the family but no longer in my collection.

I am a typewriter hunter and collector. I love going to second-hand markets to find typewriters to valorize. I want each of my typewriters to be functional, as I use them all to actually write on. I collect Olivetti and other Italian brands, but in rality i like all kinds of typewriter. I'm (slowly) adding my collection to the database.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Lettera 32 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Lettera 32 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
