Ezra Rosensaft packed it up very well and it arrived safely on its journey from New York to Virginia. This is my first Galaxie and also the only machine I own with a 12" platen, so I can use wider paper. A fun feature is a key devoted only to unjamming key bars! I like the fact that there is a release button on the case to detach the typewriter from the case. The serial number can be found underneath the machine on the right. This machine looks a lot like my Smith Corona electric Coronet, also in the two-tone blue- and indeed they were contemporaries, from the period where manuals overlapped with electrics.
