1973 Adler Tippa S Serial # 5649715 1973 Adler Tippa S typewriter, Serial # 5649715 Jonathan Crowe's 1973 Adler Tippa S typewriter. 2022-10-30 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Jonathan Crowe: 1973 Adler Tippa S Serial # 5649715 Bought in October 2022 from a fellow collector who was kind of sad to see it go. Has the 11 cpi version of the Elite Cubic typeface.

This Tippa S is strikingly different from my other one, manufactured only a year earlier. Some time between the two machines the Tippa S was redesigned: it went from carriage shift to segment shift and gained a bit of height in the process. Carriage lock and carriage release, weak points in the earlier model, have been replaced with improved versions. The ribbon vibrator is different, and the clip-on case loses its Adler logo. More differences as I encounter them--there's probably a blog post in this.
