Description:
After using the Montgomery Ward Escort 66 quite a bit, I decided to go after another Olivetti design machine. I was going to look for a Studio 44, but after seeing the Underwood 450, I bought one. The reason was I was not always going to use the Script typeface of the Montgomery Ward.
This machine has pica.
It needs a little cleaning, but works well.
Left the collection on 2/13/2018.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Underwood 450 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Underwood Serial Number page and the Underwood 450 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
