1972 Olivetti Lettera 32 Serial # 6518393 1972 Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter, Serial # 6518393 Javier Vazquez del Olmo's 1972 Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter. 2016-08-10 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Javier Vazquez del Olmo: 1972 Olivetti Lettera 32 Serial # 6518393 Yet another Lettera 32, and in outstanding condition!

This one is a present from a long time friend of the family. She´s always been there for us, and she decided I´d keep it well. In fact, I hope I can keep it as immaculate as she has done so far, because this little thing is in PERFECT condition. A great present, Pili!

It´s seen some use when it was bought in the beautiful town of Cuéllar back in the 70´s, but now it has spent long years stored but well looked after. As for now it´s quite active because it´s a pleasure to type on a flawless Lettera 32.

This one has a more typical typeface (blink, blink, tyPICAl, you get it, you get it...), which is a nice contrast against the other one which I was given soon after this one, with that futuristic square font.

PS: Sorry about the tasteless joke. I had to do it, couldn´t hold it back.

The first typewriter I saw was my grandpa´s Olivetti Linea 98 at the office. It was just a curio for me. Then I was given a Nakajima, which I didn´t use and my grandfather took it from me because it was easier to handle than the bulky Linea 98. Now I own that typewriter, and I started a little collection in Valladolid, Spain. The Nakajima, which is "my" typewriter only returned home in 2017, almost 20 years later, when he wanted a better typewriter.

A collection that started small grew into something bigger, a nuisace for my family and a great source of satisfaction for me.
