1972 Ericsson (Facit) 1620 Serial # 858828 1972 Ericsson (Facit) 1620 typewriter, Serial # 858828 Kewin Sanfridsson's 1972 Ericsson (Facit) 1620 typewriter. 2023-10-07 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Kewin Sanfridsson: 1972 Ericsson (Facit) 1620 Serial # 858828 Here we got typewriter two out of three I acquired a few days ago finally up and running again. It's basically a Facit 1620/Privat except it has a Ericsson badge on the front which is kind a cool, and make sense if you research the history of Facit a bit. I did actually find it very fascinating.

It was kind of dirty but nothing I could't handle. I only hade a problem with the left ribbon spool/take up reel but after some disassembly and cleaning with a pipe cleaner in literally spun around! It was also a spring missing on the carriage lock which I added and now there are no problems with it anymore. The case is kind a worn but it still do its job as a case very well. Oh did I mention it have been to USA? Yeah the old flight tag was still attached on the handle from the old owner I presume, as I got it at a thrift store.

Hi my name is Kewin and I'm a 23 years old from Sweden. I have a few hobbies like drawing and playing guitar but I do also like myself some project here and there which is where my interest in typewriters fits in. I have always collected things through my life but I did not expect typewriters to be my next big passion in collecting. I started collecting typewriters in the beginning of 2022 and so far I have 42 of them (3 of which is currently disassembled) . I find it really enjoyable to pickup a typewriter at a thrift store/second hand and starting to clean it up and get it to a working condition to the best of my ability and knowledge. (Excuse all the dog hairs in my pictures, I do actually try to remove the hair before taking the pictures. xD) Cheers!
