Description:
Because they have plastic tops the J5 machines don't get the love they deserve as crisp and solid typers. The J5 has amazing type impression consistency from letter to letter, forgiving my uneven key strokes. The easily scuffed plastic top hides heavy duty Adler W. German construction. I often pass it over in favor of something more curvaceous and metallic, but when I do work on it, I am reminded I should use it more often. The case design is a horrid plastic mess with a "forever" hinge that will separate, spitting out your typewriter. But catch it on your foot as I did before it hits the floor.
