Description:
Found this one at a Goodwill in Naples, Florida. It needs a good cleaning still, but at least it now has a home. I found that it requires loooonnnngggg keystrokes with a sharp action, but produces crisp text.

I fell down the analog hobby rabbithole and have no intention of climbing out. As a child, I wrote my school research papers on the 1946 Smith-Corona Silent that my father used to get through law school. By the time I went to law school, new-fangled computers were all the rage. But I kept my dad's Smith-Corona. In the decades since, I've found a few other typewriters and use them to write fiction for fun and pose them with the film cameras to which I am hopelessly addicted.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Adler J5 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Adler Serial Number page and the Adler J5 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
