1972 Adler Gabriele 25 Serial # 4871095 1972 Adler Gabriele 25 typewriter, Serial # 4871095 Kewin Sanfridsson's 1972 Adler Gabriele 25 typewriter. 2024-09-20 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Kewin Sanfridsson: 1972 Adler Gabriele 25 Serial # 4871095 Another one of my Adler typewriters, the Adler Gabriele 25. This one being in beautiful condition!
(I will compare the Gabriele 10 and 25 as they are quite close to one another and they are both in my collection. From here onwards I will refer the Gabriele 25 as G25 and the Gabriele 10 as G10.)

[Design]
It is quite noticeably different looking from the G10 which I also got in my collection. The most striking difference between the G10 and G25 is the ribbon hood. The G25 have this more square ribbon hood with a brushed aluminum front with a badge stating ADLER while the G10 got a more rounded design on the ribbon hood with noticeable molded lines at the top going from left to right with a eagle on front and A D L E R spaced out also molded into the front. The plastic of the G25 is gray and smooth to the touch while the G10 is white and got a very fine grained texture. The paper roller and platen disengage levers are both are bent outwards 90 degrees on the G25 while the G10s levers go straight up. I looked underneath both typewriters and they looks to be the same typewriter under the hood so to speak except for the G25 bear a more modern look to it.

[Features]
The only difference to talk about when it comes to features is that the G25 got a tabulator while the G10 don't.

[Typing Experience]
Both the G10s carriage and keyboard feels heavier in the movement and so do the character shift. The overall experience of the G25 is that it's smoother while typing on it, it reminds me of my other Adler, a Junior-E, but the typing still feels quite sturdy on the G25.

[Conclusion]
I do like the feel of writing on both machines but my true Adler typewriter love is still for the Junior-E which I still yet to upload here to TWDB. I think I might enjoy the look more on the G10 but the brushed aluminum on the G25 is quite nice tough. But they both feels heavier and more sturdier to write on which I do enjoy.

Cheers!

Hi my name is Kewin and I'm a 24 years old from Sweden. I have a few hobbies like drawing and playing guitar but I do also like myself some project here and there which is where my interest in typewriters fits in. I have always collected things through my life but I did not expect typewriters to be my next big passion in collecting. I started collecting typewriters in the beginning of 2022 and so far I have 80* of them (3 of which is currently disassembled) . I find it really enjoyable to pickup a typewriter at a thrift store/second hand and starting to clean it up and get it to a working condition to the best of my ability and knowledge. (Excuse all the dog hairs in my pictures, I do actually try to remove the hair before taking the pictures. xD) Cheers!
