1971 Royal (Silver-Seiko) Citadel Serial # S 1164046 1971 Royal (Silver-Seiko) Citadel typewriter, Serial # S 1164046 Zigmund Hostutler's 1971 Royal (Silver-Seiko) Citadel typewriter. 2024-09-27 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Zigmund Hostutler: 1971 Royal (Silver-Seiko) Citadel Serial # S 1164046 Acquired Autumn 2022; Pica.

This is essentially a Mercury model, minus a couple of features. The Citadel lacks a bichrome ribbon setting, a touch tensioner, and a paper support. It comes in a stunning color that Royal called "Gray." A very lightweight and simple machine, yet it types well and is very convenient for travel.

Been enjoying the hobby since 2015; finally getting around to sharing my collection digitally. I only keep the typewriters I use and enjoy the most, so check out my sightings to see all the machines that came and went.
