Description:
I acquired this monster of a machine for a few dollars at a local Sally-Ann's. The typewriter is superbly bulky and 70's. Not in a very appealing way either. Mechanically it's a Royal, which is what I like. It feels as durable and strong as the brand has been able to provide over the years. The machine was supposedly sold as Royal's 70th anniversary model. (1904-1974). This model successes the Royal 400 which was produced from 1966's until the early 1970's, however, only the body was made different as the mechanism is almost interchangeable between the two. However, regardless of it's bulkiness I must conclude that the overall typing experience is very pleasant, and although it is not very appealing from a collector's stand-point, I can see why this machine would've been the way to go for your business.
