Description:
Olivetti Lettera 32 second series typewriter, uncommon dark pink body version, original factory paint job. Just as with the Lettera 22, a few Lettera 32 specimen had been produced in pink intended mainly for the female audience. A very similar typewriter, the Olivetti Lettera 62, was produced in the 1990s in the factories of the former Yugoslavia with a similar (but not identical) color and the same mechanism with some black plastic parts instead of aluminum.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Lettera 32 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Lettera 32 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
