Description:
Pretty good St. Vinnie's find for $5, eh? Particularly when manuals have been few and far between at the thrift store for some time.
If I understand correctly, the in-house designation for this design is JP-3. We should add "Opus 901" to the known models.
Am I right to date it at 1971?

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Brother Opus 901 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Brother Serial Number page and the Brother Opus 901 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
