Description:
Given to me in Summer 2011 by J. Becker of Mississippi, a family friend who came north every year for the Indianapolis 500 the whole time I was growing up. She became famous with me for bringing gifts that I was a little too young to appreciate, like a Curtiss P-40 model airplane kit when I was 9. Her last race was an important one for her, and this was the gift she brought. It had been her college typer, purchased new, and for years was the only working machine I owned. I wrote thousands of words on this in college, and now use it in my classroom. Characteristic (factory) protective tape on the reverse, default replaceable typeset, and authentic '70s eraser shavings inside.
