Description:
Purchased from the original owner, who bought it from his college bookstore. My guess is that it is a 1967 or 1968, based on his recollection and the paperwork copyright.
Typewriter has a Pica typeface and was in the box - still bolted to the styrofoam. Cover (partially melted to the styrofoam) and a bunch of extra typeslugs were included, along with the paperwork.
The motor hums nicely and with a bit of mineral spirits, the arms snapped freely on the paper. The carriage return was quite a surprise - I don't know what I expected, but it was so sudden and forceful, I couldn't help but laugh, thinking of all of the drinks that were probably knocked off desks by first-time users like me!

I am a high school teacher with a new-found love of typewriters! Have owned 7, but am down to 6 after selling a Royal Companion.
