Description:
Ohio antique mall purchase. Reminds me of my SC Classic 12. This is also a 12-inch. Came with case. I like the tan colors and the white key caps. Certainly was heavy for a portable. This machine performed perfectly. If I suddenly needed to use a typewriter this would be the one.
Arrrrgh! The DB can't pin it down to exact year.Oh well...I tend to be a perfectionist. I didn't see a 6MLB Series like other series on the left most column.
This machine doesn't have the half-space key to the left of the space bar like my SC Classic 12 does. The Galaxy isn't a proportional spaced machine like an IBM Executive was.

Changed my collecting priorities to portables except the Olympia SG3 with the cyrillic keyboard and my Underwood No. 5--those beasts are too heavy. Sold my earlier typewriters to a friend. I had too many. I use carbon paper for typefaces when the machines have faint ribbons. I take photos with my Canon Powershot SX50HS (50x optical zoom and macro settings). I find it difficult doing typeface specimens since I use a Corsair K70 RGB gaming keyboard plugged into my 15-in Macbook. I got it solely for the deep key travel. I have fun hunting machines in antique malls in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.
