Description:
I was gifted this machine from a kind elderly lady who had contacted me out of nowhere asking if I was interested in an "old L.C. Smith portable." I understandably thought that this machine would be of a greater vintage than the sixties - but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless. She used this machine in high school. Her family moved across country and flew the typewriter to its destination - and when her son took the machine to Desert Storm, this machine flew there and back as well! For all of this air travel, the machine is in great condition. It has unusual carriage release levers and a strange line advance mechanism. Other than that, this dirty machine is pretty normal.
