Description:
This is my Smith-Corona "Corsair," serial number 5Y79152. I purchased it on November 1, 2019 at a local secondhand store. The only challenges were a jammed up ribbon lift and a required ribbon replacement. The typewriter came with what appeared to be the original ribbon spools which are smaller than the new "universal" types that are currently available. This is my fourth typewriter.
I started typing and was delighted with the swiftness by which I was able to put words to paper, this "Corsair" was very comfortable to use.
