I've fixed and sold many typewriters. There are three that I love to use for writing: 1930 Underwood No.5. 195 1 Remington Quiet-Riter, 1971 Hermes 3000.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Coronet Electric on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Coronet Electric By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
