Description:
It's all Greek to me with this typewriter. Bought from a FB Marketplace seller in my town. Elderly lady was selling it for a friend. Grubby and Greek - what was I going to do with this? But I didn't want to let the lady down, so I gave her $25 for it. Needed a good amount of mineral spirits to clean this one. Some sap-like substance on the outside of the case had somehow made its way inside.

My father brought with him a Hermes Rocket when he emigrated from the UK to Canada in 1967 and I remember playing with it as a kid. This memory was reignited while I was in Montreal for work this past February and came across a stationery shop that had five typewriters in the window. When I got home, I went on the hunt for my first typewriter - caught the bug and haven't stopped!
