Description:
This machine is a bit of a mystery. The badge says "Olivetti Underwood." But unlike the other machines in this section with an Olivetti Underwood badge, this machine does *not* have the embossed Olivetti spiral logo. Also the serial number does not align with serial numbers in this section, or with numbers in the lists of Olivetti or Olivetti Underwood serial numbers. Any insights on this apparently unique machine are welcome.
Obtained this little fellow for no charge at a craft supplies swap. No case. Placed new rubber grommets so lid would stay snapped down. Added a new ribbon and it was a goer. Not sure he'll stay in my collection but am enjoying the snappy key action and fairly good imprint.

Small time collector, big time spotter. Best machines in small collection are the ones that come with back story in the form of receipts, retailer badges / stickers, owner names scratched onto the case, etc. What stories are you collecting?
