Description:
Heavy duty unit weighing 27lbs with case, made by Smith Corona with loads of additional features such as half space, power injector, special ribbon winder, indent key and even a perforation key for check writing. My example had two carriage release levers broken off and I replaced them with wood pegs painted enamel black. I am not fond of power return but this seems not as violent as some other Smith Coronas. I believe this has a bit more sound proofing than my other electrics. This has a different and in my mind a better ribbon cover .

Retired. Have been a Photography geek for many years...old school film. Also have been an audiophile and have been collecting vinyl before it became fashionable. Accidently(?) began collecting typewriters in the early1980's...I had four by 2006. After I inherited my mothers Hermes 3000 in 2017 my interest really took off and now I have 28 typewriters in total. The majority of my collection are Smith Corona's largely because they are plentiful, easy to work on and are very good typers.
