Description:
I found this one on a local Craigslist ad ($25) and bought it from the original owner who bought it new as a high school student in 1969. It spent the last few years in the garage and was caked with stains and eraser dust (fortunately no White-Out) but it cleaned up fairly well.
The case is actually semi-rigid leather (or leatherette--anyone know for sure?). Surprisingly, the zipper is still intact and works, if with a few rough spots (so it may not quite last another 46 years).
The SM9, though, types magnificently and as fast as I can bang the keys. It even came with the original brush kit.
Another wonderful Olympia Schreibmaschine Mittelgross rescued!
