Description:
Purchased on FB marketplace. Everything about this machine was like it came off the showroom floor, even a newish ribbon. The slugs had only enough ink on them to indicate a few pages had been typed. Some oxidization on the platen. A light scent of perfume from being stored in a ladies closet. Case has some small scuffs on the bottom, otherwise mint. Included were the original cleaning tools, manual and factory technician test sheet. 10 CPI pica.

Greetings! Typewriters have come and gone during my life but now I am focused on having the machine that fits the best. I sent off my Corona Standard in favor of a Olivetti Lettera 35 and a Triumph Contessa. I am a project manager by trade and activist by choice, I recently typed a letter to the Mayor to have a greater impact than email. Space requires I limit my collection to 2 machines.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM9 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM9 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
