1969 Hermes 10 Serial # 2005735 1969 Hermes 10 typewriter, Serial # 2005735 LaDonna Qualtieri's 1969 Hermes 10 typewriter. 2023-12-18 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of LaDonna Qualtieri: 1969 Hermes 10 Serial # 2005735 This was in my collection but needed more care than I could handle. It went to a friend, along with some new belts that Pete E kindly sent to me. I was able to get a good shot of the typeface, with a silk ribbon installed, so wanted to memorialize it just in case the machine cannot be made fully functional again! My friend George has got this working! The unusual feet need replacements and Anthony at TypeSpace in Portland, the feet-making fool, is looking into it.

I have many pen pals and correspond via handwritten and typed letters. I have a (painful) sitting disability and type while standing- UPDATE! I can also type on an ultraportable I set up on my bed. Typing and collecting machines with different typefaces keeps me busy and happily distracted from the difficulties in life-fountain pens, too, and I can write legibly, in cursive, while laying down. Join me on Type Pals and register for the monthly postcard exchanges. The “Cat Mews†is a quarterly publication of the philatelic topical group Cats On Stamps Study Unit (COSSU), for which I am a column contributor. My cats are Wiffle Wizard and Urushi (Rushi) Blizzard, aka the Blizzard Sisters.
