Description:
Now one of my Exes--
This Facit was a $12 thrift store purchase. The machine was in excellent cosmetic shape and came with the original dust cover, Operator's Manual and brush kit, plus the receipt when it was purchased second-hand from a college bookstore.
Besides a simple cleaning, the only work I did on it was to adjust the alignment of the upper- and lower-case characters.
They keys are great for typing and the ribbon feed mechanism in my opinion is one of the best-engineered I've seen on a portable. There are two separate tabulator settings - one set for making permanent settings and the other for document-specific settings.
It has a style all its own from the frame up, so I give it big points for originality.
