Description:
Standard Elite typeface. Acquired in February 2021. A carriage or escapement issue sent it flying if the typewriter was left unused for too long and it was not always easy to make it stop; this was solved with a good cleaning. It also throws an extra space from time to time, probably when you type on it too hard (as I've been known to do) and the desk is not stable enough. Gonna keep an eye on that.
Its touch is extraordinarily pleasant and I want to keep typing on it.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Facit 1620 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Facit Serial Number page and the Facit 1620 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
