1969 Addo 602 Serial # 92067111 1969 Addo 602 typewriter, Serial # 92067111 Kewin Sanfridsson's 1969 Addo 602 typewriter. 2022-10-18 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Kewin Sanfridsson: 1969 Addo 602 Serial # 92067111 To be honest I have no idea when this typewriter is made I would guess from the end of the 70s from the few models listed in the Addo model list. But on the chart the highest number would be around the 8 million mark but the serial number on this machine is in the 90 million. I would otherwise consider taking a look at the Silver Reed Silverette II and the Royal 200 (Silver-Seiko) both also in my collection resembling the Addo 602 body. I also saw somewhere that Facit might bought Addo back in the day but I really don't know. From what I gathered is that this typewriter is from between the 70s to the early 80s and it is quite a ordinary machine here in Sweden because it comes up every now and then on a Swedish auction site.

I would really love for someone to shed some light upon this mystery because I cannot find anything on the internet.

*Update 18/10-22* I have searched around a little bit more on the internet and Addo was indeed bought up by/merged with Facit in 1966. A sign of this is that a few Addo typewriter models have the same body as Facit, like Addo's 621 and Facit's 1620 for example.

Hi my name is Kewin and I'm a 23 years old from Sweden. I have a few hobbies like drawing and playing guitar but I do also like myself some project here and there which is where my interest in typewriters fits in. I have always collected things through my life but I did not expect typewriters to be my next big passion in collecting. I started collecting typewriters in the beginning of 2022 and so far I have 52 of them (3 of which is currently disassembled) . I find it really enjoyable to pickup a typewriter at a thrift store/second hand and starting to clean it up and get it to a working condition to the best of my ability and knowledge. (Excuse all the dog hairs in my pictures, I do actually try to remove the hair before taking the pictures. xD) Cheers!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Addo 602 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Addo Serial Number page and the Addo 602 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
