Description:
Sears Courier. This was a local pickup. Similar to the Olivetti 22, but different color and it doesn't feature a lever to change the typing resistance. It's in good condition and only required a bit of cleaning.
I used the original ribbon for the typing sample. It has a small bit of life still left in it! This machine came with some additional goodies like an extra draw spring, extra Olivetti type ribbon holders and two manuals.

I'm a software engineer in the Chicagoland area. I've been collecting "vintage" vinyl, computers, mechanical keyboards and typewriters since I was a kid. Born into an analog world, but grew up in a digital one.
My wife is a writer and I enjoy problem solving and puzzles, so naturally fixing I fell in love with fixing and maintaining typewriters and she then gets to enjoy all of these machines!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Sears Courier on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Sears Serial Number page and the Sears Courier By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
