Description:
"Golden Pearl aka Miss Pearl"
Acquired from Duane Jensen (PhoenixTypewriter.com) in March/April 2018. This is essentially a Smith-Corona machine that's re-branded as Sears. It reminds me of Smith-Corona's Galaxies (6 series). I am unsure of the exact year but I am going to say it is from the late 1960s, perhaps 1968, because of low serial number.
It types in italics , has a 10 inch carriage, nifty paragraph indention feature, and is very light-weight when compared to my other machines in my collection.
This has a gold/white color scheme and was made in the U.S.A. (model no. 871.6020).
~ US QWERTY
~ Pica Italic #2 (10 characters per inch)

Just a "Typewriter Nut". I like collecting technologies from the past such as typewriters especially the ones with special/rare typefaces. There's just something about learning how things were made (& worked) back in the day!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Sears Citation on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Sears Serial Number page and the Sears Citation By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
