Description:
10 CPI (even a bit less, around 9.7. The paper scale is 80 characters for an A4 piece of paper (8.3 inches wide)).
Medium grey keys with a "special" UK keyboard layout (2 dead keys and usual UK fractions removed). Works flawlessly, but a sea of whiteout flakes inside.

Software engineer by day, and typewriter newbie by night.
I got my first typewriter when I was a child, one of the kid's plastic ones, but was not satisfied.
I moved on the first real one, a portable Silver-Reed Silverette S, which I still own today, and use once in a while.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM9 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM9 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
