Description:
This one is BRAND SPANKING NEW. I'm pretty sure the only reason it has a ribbon in it is so it could be tested. Still has the styrofoam on the carriage knobs, cardboard in the type basket, and the carriage locking pins in the bottom of the case with unpacking instructions. Clean as a whistle and types like a dream.
That aside, this is my second wide carriage SM9, and my latest year so far.

I've been collecting typewriters since 2010. I currently have 100+ machines in my possession. A little over half of them reside in my "personal" collection, while the rest are machines I intend to clean up for sale, or are long-term restoration projects (I'm looking at you, Olivers and Foxes!).
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM9 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM9 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
