Description:
One of my Exes-
This was an opportunity buy - a low price but with no case. I didn't know it was an SM8 until a friend pointed out the difference between the SM8 & SM9 - manual tab sets on the back of the machine - just like the classic SM3!
This machine didn't need any work - it was clean and set to go from the start. The typing action is superb. I wish all my script machines could type this well.
The grey keys are a tad unusual, as most SM9's have black keys. All in all this has just enough personality to make it a keeper.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM8 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM8 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
