Description:
Made in Mexico, this typewriter looks, feels and works almost brand-new. It's so clean it makes me wonder, at the pain of being accused of sexism, that a young college-age woman must have owned this. The attention to cleaning this up and storing it is amazing. What's more, it does not just have Romaji (English or Roman alphabet) keys, albeit all in capitals, but also Katakana, making it very unique indeed. And the font is quite unsual. I think it's close to techno. A rare typewriter, if I may say so.

I'm an archaeologist who writes heritage books and collects Japanese ceramics as well as quite a number of typewriters that I've acquired through purchase or as gifts over the last 10 years in the Philippines as well as in the US and Japan.
I'm currently a visiting professor at a university in Japan and it is heaven here to see so many typewriters being auctioned online!
